Who We Are

Kart 2 Live is a non-profit organization that is devoted to the integration of drivers with disabilities into go kart racing. They will be able to race go karts at club, state, national and international levels once they get the appropriate licenses.

Mission

Our goal here is to give people with disabilities the opportunity to partake in a sport that they would normally be precluded from participating in as there are currently no facilities or equipment available for them to use. The long term vision is to have one of our Kart 2 Live racers competing in higher forms of racing having gained experience and more importantly confidence from racing at karting levels.

Kart 2 Live will also show the committed racers how to find and retain sponsors which will be an important factor going forward in their racing careers.

Get Involved

Kart 2 Live is all about racers with a disability getting into motorsport for the first time. So we have the ability to show these people how to get a racing license, join a club, get a medical, pass the observation test, learn their flags and safety procedures. We will be able to make it easy for the driver to negotiate the paperwork involved in getting on track.

Kart 2 Live will supply all the trackside support needed to facilitate a true racing experience with minimal cost challenges.

They have created a mission of hope for the people with a disability in that they can still race, compete and be a part of something extraordinary. It has been a challenge for Karting 2 Live to get the attention and support they need to build this life changing opportunity for people confined to a wheelchair. I feel this is a very worthwhile cause. It gives hope and allows people to dream when in many cases the dream seems impossible. It builds confidence and acceptance. Karting 2 Live offers a unique opportunity for people to challenge themselves, get fit and gain experience in driving which translates to a safer road experience. People with disabilities don't want to be wrapped in cotton wool and protected from the world. In fact, they want to experience the same activities as everyone else. There is certainly a strong cohort of people within the disability community who loved the sort of fast paced, adrenaline filled, action packed experience karting can offer. Karting 2 Live is a fantastic initiative and we need more stuff like this in our community to broaden the opportunities available for people with disabilities.
